The difference between Wp and Wh

Wp (watt peak or watt) is the instantaneous power deliver at a very short moment and fluctuates.

Wh (watt-hour) is the average of power delivered over 1 full hour (60minutes)

To estimate the approximate total WATT (peak power or energy usage) your devices will consume, look at the rating on the label of each device you would like to run and add them together.

The total watts as per the example above is 120W. If this power consumption continues for 3 hours, the Wh calculation would be 120Wp x 3 hours = 360Wh

The Wh rating of the UPS in this example is 512 Wh, so this UPS would comfortably carry the plugged-in devices for a full loadshedding period of 2-4 hours
